    Abstract

Recently intelligent agent is being developed with connection to the self-driving cars. Since intelligent agent have become playing a role like a human secretary, there is a possibility that users would prefer intelligent agent which is similar to the human being. On the other hand, intelligent agent exceedingly similar to human being could create antipathy to the users as maintained by the Uncanny Valley theory. In this research, analysis is done to the patterns of preference towards the human and pat agents as per the users’ demographic characteristics (gender) and per the purpose of use of the vehicles. As a result of the research, male users showed the trend of preference to the agent with female personality for both the human and pat agents. On the other hand, female agent preferred opposite gender which is male for human agent, but the preference was the same for animal agent whether it is male or female. In the case for the preference according to the personification of human agent, there were little meaningful difference between the male and female, but there were meaningful difference according to the purpose of use of vehicles. There was not a meaningful difference for all the categories for both the gender and the purpose of use of vehicle for the pat agent.
